Roger: Joe Gibbs Racing has won two of the past three COT races, and Tony Stewart won one of them in August at Watkins Glen. That, combined with Stewart’s historical strength at Richmond, will give him the edge in Saturday night’s race. Stewart led only one lap in the spring race, but he posted the 16 fastest lap times in that event.
Sleeper: David Ragan.
Not so fast: Jeff Burton.
Vinnie: I didn’t need to look long for a Saturday night special. Kyle Busch has done everything but win at Richmond, and he’ll finally break through and go to victory lane. In Busch’s previous races at the track, his No. 5 Chevy is 5-for-5 in top fives, including a second-place finish in May. Watching brother Kurt get hot down the stretch should light a fire under Kyle.
Sleeper: Ryan Newman.
Not so fast: Carl Edwards.
Last week: Vinnie nibbled into Roger's lead for the second week in a row when Carl Edwards recovered from a collision on pit road to finish second. Roger didn't exactly stumble: Matt Kenseth finished seventh.
Standings after 25 races: Roger: 3,363; Vinnie: 3,328.
