Roger: I like Kurt Busch here. You may remember the Dover race in June, when Busch was parked for doing a drive-by on Tony Stewart’s car in the pits after Stewart wrecked Busch on the track. Busch will be racing Stewart at some point Sunday, but he’ll play nice because of the bigger prize on the line — which is my points title over you, Vinnie.
Sleeper: Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Not so fast: Kevin Harvick.
Vinnie: Roger, I need to start flexing my muscles if I want to make up the difference in our version of the Chase, so I’ll go with Carl Edwards, the most in-shape driver in Nextel Cup. Expect him to work out at Dover, where he has posted two top fives, including a third-place finish in June. Get ready for a backflip and a trip to victory lane.
Sleeper: Ryan Newman.
Not so fast: Jeff Burton.
Last week: Roger and Vinnie did well at New Hampshire. Roger’s pick, Jeff Gordon, finished second, and Vinnie’s pick, Jimmie Johnson finished sixth. The spread was worth 20 points to Roger.
Standings after 27 races: Roger: 3,708; Vinnie: 3,581.
