Pit box: Who will win at Kansas?
Kansas 400
Fantasy picks for the LifeLock 400.

Roger: Jimmie Johnson led the most laps at Kansas last year, but an ill-timed caution and a penalty for speeding on pit road cost him a great finish. There will be no denying the 48 team a victory this time, especially considering Hendrick Motorsports’ excellent record at this track. OK, so it’s Jeff Gordon who has two victories at Kansas; Johnson is due for his first.

Sleeper: Greg Biffle.
Not so fast: Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Vinnie: Smell that Smoke, Roger? It’s not from the great K.C. barbeque — it’s Tony Stewart still steaming that he missed last year’s Chase. He’ll be fired up to repeat at Kansas, one of his better tracks. Yeah, his average finish there is 6.5. I’ve still got plenty of time to come out on top in the Pit Box. This week, I’ll answer your big gun with another and hope for the best.

Sleeper: Casey Mears.
Not so fast: Kasey Kahne.

Last week: Just like in the real Chase, Pit Box is neck and neck after
28 races. Vinnie scored a victory with Carl Edwards while Roger’s Kurt Busch ignited a 10-car wreck and finished 29th. If it makes Roger feel any better, his sleeper (Dale Earnhardt Jr.) finished third, and his not so fast (Kevin Harvick) finished 20th.

Standings through 28 races: Roger: 3,792; Vinnie: 3,771.
