| | ThatsRacin.com Cars driven by NASCAR greats David Pearson and the late Dale Earnhardt are among the vintage racers taking part in Darlington Raceway's historic racing festival over Labor Day Weekend.
Several cars piloted by open-wheel greats like A.J. Foyt and Al Unser Sr. are also registered for Darlington's festival, which will take place Aug. 30-31.
The event will have the 1972 Monte Carlo stock car driven by Pearson, and a 1977 Chevy that Earnhardt drove.
From 1950 to 2003, Darlington hosted the NASCAR's Southern 500, considered one of the sport's crown jewels.
The festival will also feature appearances by past greats like Pearson, who holds Darlington's record with 10 Sprint Cup victories; and three-time champion and broadcaster Darrell Waltrip.
