Car was better than third place, Biffle says
By David Poole / The Charlotte Observer
Greg Biffle finished third in Sunday's race, but was mad at himself that he didn't do better.
"I'll argue that I had the fastest race car today and the driver just screwed it up," he said. "We just never did the get the track position I needed, but it was a spectacular run with the race car. The car was perfect all day."
Biffle lost track position when he got whistled for a pit road speeding penalty on his first stop on Lap 49. He fought back from that and was running in the top five when his car got loose and he slipped back again.
"I probably should have wrecked and really don't understand why I didn't yet," he said.
Biffle said that his car was so good he's already looking forward to next week.
"I can’t wait until next week and these next couple of weeks to give it another shot," he said. "This is the most fun I've had driving a race car in maybe a year or two."
