BRISTOL, TN -- Kevin Harvick is scheduled to appear on Tony Stewart's Sirius Satellite Radio show Monday night but don't expect any fireworks between the drivers who collided late in Sunday's Food City 500 unless Stewart brings spotter Mark Robertson.
After accidentally slamming Stewart's No. 20 Toyota into a spin, Harvick attempted to relay an apology through his spotter.
"The first thing his spotter said was he's going to whip somebody's (butt), and if Tony didn't do it, he'd do it," said Harvick, runner-up to teammate Jeff Burton. "Tony and I are big boys, and we can handle that. We don't need some idiot up there stirring it up."
Harvick said his No. 29 Chevrolet slid into Stewart's car after he clipped the apron in Turn 2.
"(The race) was mine to lose, and I lost it," said Harvick, who was in fourth on a Lap 496 (of a scheduled 500) restart but with fresher tires than the top three.
Said Stewart, who led a race-high 267 laps but settled for 14th after hitting with the Turn 2 SAFER barrier: "I thought I left him plenty of room. I'm sure somehow it was my fault. I'm just sorry I got in his way."
