| | | | | | | | | | | | | Fantasy picks for the Daytona 500.
Reid Spencer, Bill Marx and Roger Kuznia of the Sporting News are matching wits in the Pit Box in 2008. The rules are different this year.
We can pick a driver only once during the season. But for good measure, we'll also pick our favorite to win the race.
REID'S PICK: Michael Waltrip. If Michael wins a race this year, it probably will be on a restrictor-plate track. His car was strong enough to push Dale Jarrett to the front in the second Duel 150 qualifying race.
Who Reid really thinks will win the race: Tony Stewart. Toyota wins its first Sprint Cup points race.
BILL'S PICK: Dale Jarrett. I'm going with Jarrett because I know I have only five races to use him, and I think this race is his best shot to do well of the five.
Who Bill really thinks will win the race: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Can you say, "Storybook?"
ROGER'S PICK: Mark Martin. Much like Bill, I'm going with Martin because of his limited schedule. I also like the fact that Martin has no enemies on the track and keeps his car clean.
Who Roger really thinks will win the race: Tony Stewart. His 399 laps led in the past six Daytona races is nearly triple that of second-place Kurt Busch (141). It's his time.
