RANK MOVEMENT DRIVER LAST WEEK
1
Kyle Busch
Mr. Busch, you will need to file Form 8910 to earn the alternative motor vehicle credit. We notice you are driving two different kinds of cars, along with trucks, with great frequency -- and success. Good luck this weekend in your bid to become the first Nationwide driver to win three races in a row since Ryan Newman in 2005.

2
Jeff Burton
We received a fax from some of your, shall we say, younger colleagues, who suggest you do a 1040, Schedule R, which provides a credit for the elderly. You might want to remind them who is on top of the standings and who is the only driver to finish in the top 15 in all eight races.
2
3
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Mr. Earnhardt, make sure you file Form 8822 for your change of address. I see it has been a good move for you. You now have six top 10s in eight races. You had 12 all of last year. Impressive. Also, you and Mr. Busch should file Form 3903 for moving expenses.
3
4
Denny Hamlin
Hamlin picked up his third straight top 10 Sunday and for the fifth straight race moved up the points standings (he was 32nd after Week 2). Hamlin can't wait to get back on the road again to Phoenix, where he has finished third in two of the past three races. (That's Abbott's Willie Nelson playing in the background.)
4
5
Clint Bowyer
It says here, Mr. Bowyer, you drive the No. 07 Jack Daniels Chevrolet. Don't forget to file Form 8906 for your distilled spirits credit. And like Mr. Johnson, you will be eligible for a fuel credit for your second-place finish at Phoenix. We suggest you file Form 8909, the energy efficient appliance credit.
5
6
Jimmie Johnson
Mr. Johnson, you'll want to familiarize yourself with Form 4136, a credit for federal tax on fuel. We were very pleased with your fuel conservation methods at Phoenix. You might want to let Mr. Martin know about the benefits of fuel conservation, too, the next time you see him. Oh, and Mr. Johnson: The IRS considers your actions Saturday night to be a gamble, so also file Form W-2G for certain gambling winnings.
6
7
Carl Edwards
Three wins in the first eight races is quite impressive, Mr. Edwards, as is your fourth-place finish Saturday night after you had that pit road penalty. We know all about penalties, Mr. Edwards. That is why we want you to file Form TD F 90-22.47, the suspicious activity report. And when you talk to your suspended crew chief, please tell him to file one, too.
7
8
Tony Stewart
We notice, Mr. Stewart, your tendency to earn fewer dollars earlier in your work year. That is why you should consider filing Form 8582 for passive activity loss limitations. That said, we would like to commend you for your efforts this year. We see you were seventh, 332 points out of the lead, after eight races in 2007.
8
9
Kevin Harvick
It's always great to see small businessmen, Mr. Harvick. You are the backbone of America. Besides your success at the Cup level -- we noticed your 18th-place finish at Phoenix was your first outside the top 15 this year -- we see your Nationwide team is third in owner points. Good luck to your team in Mexico City on Sunday, and don't forget to file Form 2555 for foreign earned income.
9
10
Jeff Gordon
In an emergency session, the Martinsville City Council agrees to accept DuPont's $1 million "donation" if it will rename the city Gordonsville after Gordon finishes second for his ninth top five in his last 11 races at Martinsville Speedway. There's only one problem: There's already a Gordonsville, Va.
10
11
Greg Biffle
Although everyone here at the IRS is appreciative of the work you and Mrs. Biffle are doing with dogs, we cannot allow you to file Form 2441 for child and dependent care expenses. Also, congratulations on being in the top 10 after eight races. Our records show you were 14th last year and 21st the year before after eight races.
