| | | | | | | | |  | | | | Kyle Busch’s thirteenth place finish must have worried a few of the poll voters in the RaceTalkRadio.com NASCAR Top 20. Four poll voters changed their votes this week and Kyle’s lead slipped a bit after the Life Lock 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
The fan’s favorite driver Dale Earnhardt Jr broke a seventy-six race winless streak and remains in second place in our NASCAR Top 20 this week. The numerologists love the fact that his Daddy won 76 times and Junior broke a seventy-six-race drought on Father’s Day. There was also an unpublished report that Junior drank three Amp Energy Drinks during the race to add to the peculiar number coincidences!
Carl Edwards and Jeff Burton held on to their third and fourth place spots in this week’s poll with Jimmie Johnson cracking the top five for the first time since race eight of the season at Phoenix. Tony Stewart held on to his sixth place spot in the NASCAR Top 20 with Denny Hamlin sliding the most spots this week to seventh. Greg Biffle, Kasey Kahne, and Jeff Gordon round out the top ten.
Eight different drivers grabbed first place votes and our thirty-seven poll voters that include some of the best and brightest from the NASCAR beat named twenty-eight different drivers on ballots this week! That two-headed driving monster named Aric Martin, or is it Mark Almirola, slipped off the RaceTalkRadio.com NASCAR Top 20 this week. Grabbing that 20th and final spot is AJ Allmendinger. Since returning to the seat of his No. 84 Red Bull Toyota, the Dinger has posted three top 20 finishes!
